Our colleague and friend Heike Iggena passed away on 19 January 2022 after a short, serious illness at the age of 57.
Heike was a qualified psychologist and psychotherapist, a long-standing HAUKARI member and had accompanied and supported our work for many years. Since 2016, she has visited our cooperation partner, the KHANZAD women’s centre in Sulaimania, several times, built up a network of local supervisors, advised and trained them and laid the foundations for the establishment of a local institute for practical knowledge to strengthen local research.
We will greatly miss her commitment, her empathetic eye, her patience and her expertise as a trainer and supervisor.
We are very sad.
