In Sulaimania on 8 March, International Women’s Day, the Kurdish Gender Equality Award 2024 was presented to Karin Mlodoch from HAUKARI e.V. She was honoured for her more than 30 years of continuous commitment in Kurdistan-Iraq and in particular for her tireless work for women’s rights in Kurdistan. She is one of the founders of the social and cultural centre KHANZAD, which was the first non-partisan women’s centre in Kurdistan-Iraq. We are delighted for her and congratulate her warmly. The approx. 8-minute film about Karin Mlodoch was produced on the occasion of the award ceremony.
